Run realistic speaking mocks at home with a partner. This pack gives time plans, examiner scripts, cue cards, and ready feedback sheets. Follow the clock, rotate roles, and use the scoring grid to spot quick wins. Scripts are neutral, easy to read, and match common topics. Record, review, and repeat to build fluency, control, and confidence in short sessions.

Card 1 — Session flow 30 minutes
- Warm up 3 min: two easy Part 1 questions.
- Part 1 4 min: quick topics, short answers.
- Part 2 4 min: 1 min plan, 1 to 2 min talk.
- Part 3 5 min: deeper questions.
- Feedback 6 min: use the grid.
- Replay 8 min: re answer one Part 2 and two Part 3 questions.
Tip: use a visible timer and a phone recorder.
Card 2 — Partner rules and timing
- Be friendly, neutral, professional.
- Do not teach during answers. Take notes and give feedback after.
- Keep time strictly. Cut gently at the limit.
- Ask one clear question at a time.
- If the candidate stops early, prompt once: Could you add one more reason
Time cues
Part 2 prep: start timer 60 sec, say Please begin at 55 sec.
Part 2 talk: say Thank you at 120 sec.
Part 3: 5 to 7 questions, 60 to 90 sec each.

Cue A: A useful object
Describe a small object that helps you in daily life. You should say what it is, where you got it, how you use it, and explain why it is useful.
Follow ups: How often do you replace it What would you change
Cue B: A place to focus
Describe a place where you can study or work well. You should say where it is, what it looks like, when you go there, and explain why it helps you focus.
Follow ups: Do you ever get distracted there What solves it
Cue C: A person who gave you advice
Describe a person who gave you helpful advice. You should say who this person is, what the advice was, how you used it, and explain why it mattered.

Card 6 — Feedback grid and notes
Score 0 to 3 each. Total 12 is a strong run.
- Fluency and coherence: flow, linking, no long pauses
- Lexical range: precise words, topic phrases, natural collocations
- Grammar: varied sentences, few errors, clear tenses
- Pronunciation: word stress, sentence stress, clear sounds
Action notes
- Replace heavy words with simpler ones in Part 3.
- Use one contrast word while or whereas, not many.
- In Part 2 add one number and one small lesson at the end.
Ready lines to boost endings

Card 7 — Solo mode
No partner today
- Use the scripts and record.
- After each answer, play back for 30 seconds to note slips.
- For Part 2, stop at 60 seconds, add one more detail, then finish.
- For Part 3, mark claim, two reasons, one counterpoint on paper.
Solo feedback trick
Write three symbols while listening: W for word choice issue, L for linker repeat, P for pronunciation slip. Fix two items on the next take.
